Not Productive Updates

apathyape asked: When will Not Productive be back on the web? I was trying to find the site and all I can find is this one. Thank you!

We’re focusing on generating original content first. Once we have sufficient Not Producers, the site will return. 

BETA TESTING HAS CONCLUDED

We have run our BETA test, gauged user reactions and are currently working to make the improvements to our model that our data indicates will be most conducive to our site’s success. Here’s some of what we will be doing: 

• Focus on the creation of original shows and exclusive content for our YouTube channel and our social network presence. 
• Switching from a Python/Django development to PHP.
• Placing greater emphasis on gaming, comedy and movies. 
• Creating more of a community aspect, rather than a passive entertainment model. 

These are our plans. 

Minor Ad Issues

The designers didn’t create the ad spaces with Google Adsense’s standard ad sizes in mind, so setting up the ads is a bit more difficult than we anticipated. But, it’s not going to be a serious delay. It ought to be sorted out fairly quickly.

The UI is good, but I’m having some serious issues with the backend.

Not sure if tomorrow’s launch is going to be possible if I can’t figure out what’s going on in the admin panel. There’s some bug causing videos to migrate out of their proper categories, and it seems to be more pronounced the more categories I add. Working diligently to figure out what the problem is. Stay tuned. 

Most of the issues with the site have been resolved. We’re getting down to the tiniest nitpicks now.

Update

Stephen B., the main programmer/coder is telling me that the changed described in the last major update are nearly complete. Things got a little sluggish in and around Thanksgiving, but it all seems to be back on track now.
